Thanks for posting this, Ryan! Ashley has been posting photos and it's great to see it all done and on it's way to SEMA.

As long as I get everything cleared with work, I'll be down in Vegas with some good friends for SEMA next week. Looking forward to checking this out!!

  6. Panel beaters both then and now just mystify me. It is just amazing to see what can be done with a bit of mteal and a lot of talent.

You also have to give tons of respect to anyone that coaxes a flatty past 100 MPH. I am not a big flathead man myself but I just get slack jawed at anyone who is a real flathead man. I hand out a lot of grief to guys with flatheads but they are the little engine that could and have been the mainstay of rodding since the beginning.

That car was beautiful the first time and is beautiful this time around as well.

    Good words friend.

  7. What porknbeaner said x2. Interesting to look at the air foil cross section. I wonder if they would have done it that way if they'd had access to wind tunnel testing?

Wow, what a superb job they did recreating that car.

    Ryan,

Please beg them to bring it to the Hot Rod Revolution in December!!!!

What an HONOR it was to pay tribute to the men, and the machines that were the foundation of HOT RODDING.

...and as I will state Dan Webb as a True Craftsman, and MASTER builder, I like calling him my Buddy better. He is one of my best, and favorite friends.

Congrats to Dan, Ashley, Craig, Mike, and ALL involved.

Thanks Ryan, (your my buddy too)

    Have fun at SEMA!

I imagine it's headed for the Petersen, to be stuffed and mounted without turning a wheel in anger: it wouldn't meet the current safety rules at SCTA. But if someone decided to take it to El Toro and run it up on the old airfield, please let us know. You could sell tickets. Get a good video on record and have it at the museum in front of the car. What's pretty standing still can only be enhanced by the sound of the flatheat under load and at full chat.

Rad! Reminds me of a '50's tin friction toy. Bad ass!
