Technical What shifter will fit an S-10 T5 trans?

I bought a S-10 T5 transmission to use the tailhousing but the shifter was missing, will I have to replace it with an S-10 shifter or can I use the one that I have from a Mustang T5?

I know I can buy an aftermarket shifter but I'd like use what I have if possible.

 

Two of the four mounting holes on a Mustang shifter line up; you'd have to drill the other two, but it's an easy modification.

Look on eBay at the aftermarket shifters for the mustang t5. There are ones for around $50 that are pretty nice. I bought one for my Model A and trimmed it and re drilled the two holes.
