This has to be the best reply I've read in the last two and a half years I've been on here. Prewarcars4me, you have it exactly right!

Did you tell him your back and neck needed to be repaired also. Insurance companies don't like lawyers to get involved in personal injury cases.

Anytime there is an accident the ins adj. will want a signed document releasing them of all liability from said accident. If you say no they usually give you some incentive($$$) to sign the doc.

Maybe in Arkansas but not in NY. Property damage and bodily injury are two different departments with two different adjusters in NY.

Like some have already said, don't make a mountain of of a freakin' mole hill. Get what you need to make the necessary repairs and call this thread closed.

What I know has been killing me my whole life. Insurance adjusters are out to screw the injured. Not always, but sometimes. I hope your case is resolved to your satisfaction.

There's nobody injured here!

Injuries on this thread are off-topic!

What are you, a lawyer?

I've been running a body shop for the last 21 years here in Tennessee and what Waddaycare is saying is on the mark. The damage looks to be around the $2500 range from the pics. Pick a good shop that you like and let them get the ball rolling. If my shop was fixing your car , bring your car in with the adjusters estimate, I will review it and if more repairs or time to repair are needed I will file a supplement to the insurance company to complete the repairs. I work for my customers while doing the repairs but the shop must treat the insurance company in a fair manner also. In the end the car is repaired to it's pre wreck state. I get paid a fair rate and the insurance company pays a fair rate to have the repairs done. we're all HAPPY

The way "tbird" operates is exactly how it is suppose to work. Unfortunately it doesn't always work that way but it's suppose too. Then, like "tbird" said, everybody goes home happy and has a beer!

Well I just heard from the adjuster again and was told his estimate of $1875 was what I was going to get take it or leave it And they haven't gotten a statement from the guy who hit me yet because he can't hear well enough on the phone to get his statement to prove liability .

Insurance agents are hired to make money for the companies. Insurance adjusters are hired to save money for the company. For every 1 out of 10 clients thats gets a fair deal because they know the game the other 9 gets screwed. Name of the game in the insurance racket is make money and spend as little as possible. Only business there is that can drop you like a bad disease if you have a claim even if you have been with them, paying dearly for there service for 30 years. Insurance agents can tell you anything it takes to make money but when it comes to living up to there end of the bargain you are just a number.
