Well as always...it's been a while since I posted anything up, but I thought you guys might dig these WW2 themed pieces from the last few weeks.

    First up...."The Dog Fight"
Based a true story of a battle between P-40's and Messerschmidts in Northern Italy
    46"x26"
    1shot, acrylic and gouache

Then we switch theaters for this one... "In The Cross Hairs" Featuring Army Ranger spotter and shooter
    46"x22"
    1shot, acrylic and gouache

    Last one...."Semper Fidelis"
    26"x22"

    Sorry for the big pics....

My father (Stewed47) is a very talented pen and ink artist, though rarely anyone outside of our family and close friends see his work. I think its high time he gets some recognition!

  3. Those are beautiful David. Absolutely ringing everything out of your talent man, way to go!

Ace, that stipple work is fantastic! very talented is an understatement.

I'm socked through Monday so I'll have to post this quick sketch I did yesterday... Not much but, hey, it'll do...

Also, one I posted late last week. Preliminary sketch for a fellow HAMB member who commissioned this for his Po Boy's Bar-B-Q joint...

Thanks BO! He's got dozens more, just need to find the time to have them scanned.

  8. Kstmace- stipple is a lot of work, that's an impressive selection.
Kirk!- fine stuff. I don't know what goes on in your avatar, but it looks like a special world.

(below); The H.O.K. Candy Tangerine street machine coupe was done last weekend. The bucket is Graham Watson's 'Misty', a now- flathead car which went 10.3 in '79 with a B/SR Windsor. The Falcon & Torana are also from amongst the last few weeks output. Local work- works for me.

Hey thanks guys....much appreciated! I know it's a bit off topic but it seems the link between classic rods and WW2 stuff is pretty strong!

These photos are just so nice... I really like the natural colors, softer / more selective focus. Gary

Here is what I have been up to. Cut some linoleum and smashed ink into paper on my letterpress. The final prints are 18" x 24" and the lino took about 6-7 hours a plate.
