Well it's been a long time for me to start one of these :D . I have been locked down in the house taking care of my son so I decided to practice pinstriping.

My daughter was impressed enough to ask me to pinstripe her boots with her favorite Hot Rod character R.F.

I always look forward to Fridays, so it's time again to offer up something artsy: Johnny Boyd's Epperly-Offenhauser Indianapolis 500 entry, photo by Alex Tremulis, 1959...

    Beautiful work everybody ! :)

I particulary like Pharouh and Vette Bob's artwork !

Well, today, 2 hot rods. First a wild Tudor, and then a more nostalgic 33 Roadster.

I really like this Brown Dog.

See what I did there? I quoted a post that has several photos, but I modified it to show the one pic that my post pertained to.

Got a '41 Pontiac for you this week, chopped and sectioned and a '41 Olds that has some custom touches, Olds did not have full fadeaway fenders in '41 so I made some, chopped and lowered of course

    Josh, nice work!
    Beautiful camera work guys!
    Love the digital compilations Frogz.
    Pharouh, Neo Dutch, well done!
    Cool stuff Johnny.
Clysdale, it's always great to have you back, your work is stellar as usual!

Bob, I love that shot and love how you rendered it out. It reminded me of this piece
which I'll use as my tribute to the GNRS this week end. Wish I was there...

....and here's another possible dreamer piece with a twist.

Thanks for the comments...and that goes to everyone, but I feel compelled to explain that it's not actually a painting. It's digital art & trickery, nothing more. Whilst this form of 'art' is frowned upon by many, it still retains the power to evoke emotions in anyone who's fond of this hobby, as Bob found on his return to the FAS.

Everyone's art looks fantastic so far! Great job!

this is my first post on the Friday art show threads, I've been checking them out for a while and figured it's time to contribute something. It blows my mind how many extremely talented artists are on here, there's so much inspiration!

I've been working on way too many corporate gigs lately, and decided I needed to design something for myself, and since it's just plain rough to find any girly gear head stuff for me to hang up in the garage, I made a couple designs for metal signs I'm going to have printed up.

I always draw all of my designs on paper first, then I paint them in order to get my color schemes picked out and tested. Then the designs are scanned and remade in Adobe Illustrator, and finished up in Photoshop.

    So, here ya go.

  26. Welcome Lizzie, what a great introduction! I think you are on to something good and I know there is a group out there who will agree!

    Thanks Ken! Good morning FAS!

AH... one of my favorite fellow artists. I have 2 tshirts from him. Worn them out. Kinda pissed I can't get them anymore (wink wink, nudge nudge). Sure wish he had some new ones coming out.

Keep up the great work. Maybe one day I will grow a pair and post some work too.
