Another set of modified '47-'52 Cadillac sombrero hubcaps ready to go! These will fit any offset (deep dish) 15" rim for your kustom. Originals or reproductions from McVey Cadillac parts can be done. Inquire within:)

I've been working on Octavio's '49 Ford and the latest addition is a pair of '50 Ford convertible vent windows mixed with some '51 Victoria parts from Chris Whittington at Shoebox Central in Oklahoma (he always comes through with the best parts!).

I found the convertible door garnish moldings at the Big 3 swap in San Diego last year for $25, which has to be my best all-time shoebox swapmeet score. Next step is finishing off the rear edge of the door and I have a friend with an original '49 Ford convertible that I plan to reference.

I also got my '50 Ford back from Zbest Paint and Body in Lake Elsinore, California. My friend Octavio Chavez did the bodywork and painted the jambs, and Zbest finished it up. I couldn't be happier with the results and I hope to get her reassembled as soon as possible (I have teaching exams that have been eating up my time).

    Thanks for looking,
    Rob

Wow Paint!!! Great work Rob, the car looks fantastic.

By the way, using the vert vent windows on Octavio's cas was a smart move.

  23. You do some incredible work. If the resolution wasn't so high I would feel like I'm looking at pictures from the early '50s. Keep up the great work and post more photos:)

Octavio's car looks awesome. I worked with him when he was a painter's helper at the shop I'm at.

Been working on a '49 Merc and adding some Buick lights, along with rounded hood corners, after reassembling and fitting the front sheetmetal. Also had to make a replacement '49 core support piece as they're hard to find. Gaps were way off, so cutting and welding was necessary after everything was shoved around the best it could be...

Also working on this '51 Merc coupe...planning some mild kustom work that will be nice and traditional...stay tuned :)

I'm also pretty close to having my Ford back on the road. Ernie's auto interiors in Colton just did my interior, and if you're looking for period-correct interior, he's very good.
