Looking at Wescott rear fenders for the 1940 1/2 ton. Pretty Spendy.

I know their quality is excellent.

Any suggestions for other makers? What about Speedway? how is their quality? okay? or not?

Try a search on Speedways '40 '41 truck fenders. There was a thread about a week ago and most everybody was favorable about them.

  4. I've used Westcott fenders on several cars and trucks,,they really are a high quality product. HRP

  5. We had some Speedway fenders (same app) that were just a ton of work to make right, went with steel. Question is, how nice do you want it? Or just for a driver?

There is no wonder when Wescott.

ALWAYS high quality and they fit.

Only fiberglass I've ever bought since 1979. No regrets.

I have some steel 1940 Ford truck rear fenders that I can sell. Both need work.

I know this doesn't answer your question but I used Wescotts on mine as well. The quality was great, prep was a breeze and they fit beautifully. If you add in prep time needed and factor in the possibility that the fenders still may not look perfect when done, I think Wescotts turn out to be a bargain.

  9. I run Wescotts on my '38. They fit great and the quality is top notch. I did get one fender that had several voids around the bead. I called Wescotts and they shipped me a new one at no charge and told me to keep the old one. Super folks to work with.

I don't know about Speedway's rear truck fenders, but the fronts are way off, when mating them to the inner fender apron panels.
