Default 302 ford advice needed

Hi Guys
I have a 302 winsor engine which was rebuil about 3000 mls ago rebore new pistonts rings bearings, mild street cam. Had problem with head gasket recently so had heads skimmed.

I now have a problem with the exhaust valve rocker oil supply in number 5 cylinder after engine is revved.

When started from cold on choke the engine runs smooth at 48-50 oil pressure and 1000 rpm. The rockers are all flowing oil at this point.

The pressure drops to 45psi on tickover at 600rpm when warmed up and the rockers all still flow oil.

Pressure goes up to 55psi at 3000 rpm but when back to tickover the oil flow to the exhaust rocker in cylinder 5 is just a tiny trickle and the rocker starts tapping loudly.

any advice opn what is wrong would be appreciated.

They are new lifters and pushrods and pushrod looks ok. could it be a faulty lifter as it seems that it stops oiling after it is revved when hot.

you should pull that rod and look at it again, can you see through it, deformed at all, rolls flat on a table? Does the rod rotate now when running?
