Kit? It depends.

If your car is a US market Pontiac, with a Pontiac engine, then this applies:

The most common swap for these cars is a Saginaw 605 box, which is common here on like 1978-1986 midsize GM cars - Monte Carlo, Malibu, Gran Prix, RWD Cutlass, Regal, etc. It bolts to the stock pitman arm, will line up with one existing steering box hole, requiring two be added. Modification or a change of steering column is required.



If your car is an export market or Canadian Pontiac, then anything that works on a '55 Chevrolet will work, as they share the same chassis, engines and transmissions. These cars have a 115" wheelbase and a firewall mounted master cylinder.

American Pontiacs the master is under the floor, the wheelbase is longer by 5-8 inches, and the frame underneath has ladder rails with an X-shape center brace under the middle of the car.
