New guy with a Ranchero

    Been reading posts on here for a while, and finally joined. From Costa mesa, CA. (orange county)

    Starting a 59 Ranchero custom project, want to do it period correct. already has a 351 windsor with an AOD trans.

    Spent the first few months getting the engine running good, and correcting the molded tailgate.

    Your Ranch looks good-

    I have a 302/C4 in mine. I had a 292 with a 3speed overdrive that I was going to put in but it burned in my shop fire.

    My ideal drive train is a 390 Cadillac adapted to the ford 3 speed. I found a flywheel- which is HARD to find- looking for the adapter. It will happen... :)
