Odd engines for hot rod builds....

    Somebody on this local Calgary based forum spotted this around town. It has a 12B Mazda rotary engine. I sure thought that was very odd.

    Anybody else know of any other rods with very unconventional engines?

    lets see what other oddities are out there!

    Don't have a pic, but there was something in the swap meet area last summer at Street Rod Nationals that was powered by a DOHC 4 from a CB900.

    I forgot which thread its on, but there's a T-bucket on here with a 6V53T Detroit Diesel in it. Pretty cool imho.

    THAT would be interesting to see. Be kind of rough parking it though, having to get out and push it, since being a bike engine it wont have a reverse. :p

    I have a Rambler American wagon with a 2.0 nissan motor
    and 4spd.

    An Isuzu 3 cly or a chevy 5 cly would defiantly make odd engines :D

    My 59 Rambler with a supercharged quad 4

    My 60 Rambler with a Turbo charged/intercooled Mazda 13b-rew rotary out of a 95 RX7..swapped intake to JDM..not yet finished...:(

    The builder may have discovered the same. It was an unfinished project :eek:
