I've been lurking on the HAMB for a long time. I'm looking to buy a vintage midget and am narrowing my search between a couple of cars now. One a knock off KK and another a real kurtis supposedly. I have been reading a lot about them and ordered a couple of books on them. Just curious if there are any vintage midget junkies on here? Thanks

There is a long running thread for vintage cageless midgets here on the H.A.M.B. Just hit the search and ask there. You'll probably get a better answer.

I'm no expert ... but I know a couple of old guys who are. Robert Burge is an expert on (1) flatheads, (2) old Harley's, (3) old Indians, (4) old Brit bikes of any kind, and (5) V8-60 powered midgets. What he doesn't know, his buddy Drew Williams does. Shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do to hook you up with these guys. Robert doesn't do anything associated with a computer (he only got a cell phone last month) ... but Drew is a bit better with electronic communication. These guys are the real deal.

Man, that's the truth! You could probably field a 1948 Gilmore main event worth of cars for what my Dad's original KK V8-60 is now worth. He got it back in 1987, and it's now worth double what he shelled out to get it back. Kurtis anything is a good investment.
