An old black and white photo.... I changed the background, colorized the foreground and added the snow.

    Great stuff guys !

    Love the winter scene, Bob!!!
    The Spoggimobile is really cool!!!
The 2 Chevy Gassers are just excellent!!!

I always been a fan of wild gassers, so I tried to make one with an old Stude.

  6. This is the second panel I’ve ever made with my beadroller so please go easy on me—still have a lot to learn, but I was hoping it, and maybe my story was worthy enough to be in here.

John, hrm2k on here, two years ago started my first ever build of my 53 Chevy with me. I only knew John through a couple message exchanges on the HAMB and stopping by his garage once. He then committed his next 18 months to helping me through the build at my house, on my time, and with his tools. He drove 25 minutes each way a few days per week, and would be missing tools at his garage to work on his projects because he left them at my house since I still don’t have a complete set of wrenches. To express a small amount of my gratitude for everything he did for me, I attempted to recreate his 32 grille he has in his T coupe with the addition of a couple words. I was really happy to be able to give it to him this week and he seemed to be appreciative of it. I’m very fortunate because without John I wouldn’t have ever pursued this or other future ventures, let alone ever had my car running.

Here’s his car/grille that I tried to model it after….

Here’s also the post John did for me the first time I got my car running… http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=783629

Thanks for letting me yap! Please continue on now with the real artistry!

    some great work guys

  17. Case you guys missed it hotrodjen found herself in the latest Street Rodder doing a panel for a charity auction. Amazing to me in the car world how often incredible art is donated to worthy causes. In my Navy days the greatest praise you could receive was ''Well Done''. In that vein to Jen and the rest of HAMB artists that are constantly donating your work a hearty ''WELL DONE!'' .

The Mrs. contacted HotrodJen for some of her fantastic handiwork and last week a very cool package arrived...some very cool yule for our tree this year.
These pieces will become a tradition for us every year.....

    nice stuff guys!

Perhaps not the most "traditional" but a quick sketch I did for a guy to see how the wheel/tire combo he has picked out for his 61 will look:

  23. Here's another of the Moonlighter gasser, Gene Cromers restored Willys. It will be running next Saturday (11/16) as part of a gasser program at Greer Dragway, Greer, SC.

The photo was taken last May at the unveiling of the restoration and processed to look like a night shot with the moon and brush strokes added.
