Hard to believe but it's the 40th anniversary of one of the best car movies ever made, American Graffiti. I watched it again the other day and it's still fun to see the cool cars and listen to the great music.

Haha, I was just thinking about this....
I have never posted on this, never considered myself an artist, just a guy who likes to draw and do hand painted lettering.
And its usually all manual type stuff...But a while back the wifey bought me a Bamboo pad and I have messed around a bit with it, not with much success in my opinion, but its certainly a challenge and something new. Here is one that I did, just messing around.

    Very cartoonish and simple.

PS....watching American Graffiti as I type...

Great start guys, and happy birthday to Hot-Rod-Dude!
Love the paintjob on the little dragster, Spoggie. Both of the customs are awesome as well
    Bob, nice tribute!
Louie, thats pretty cool, even if "cartoonish and simple", it has a nice depth. how about removing the outline of the flames?

couple more of the daily quickies...

Diggin' Janne's E-type- I painted this a few weeks ago in the rain at a local club race meet. Tom seems to have patterned this sweet sounding 4.2 on the famous 9600HP car which was raced across France to make the Zurich press launch for the new Jaguar- the E TYPE!

Here is a new piece I did.
That's John Parker's Indian. I heard he is selling it. Just aint right. Unless ,of course, I had the cash to buy it!

    This is titled "Liquid Manhunt".
    Mixed media on vintage newspaper.
    48" x 48" It's a big one.

    Hope you dig it.

Something new from me, just got done with this one yesterday. Zach Suhr posted a video he had done a while back, and as I watched it my brain kept telling me that it would make a great painting. I watched that thing so many times. Here is my version of the moment.

It's been a while since I posted anything, (and have never really posted much before) but I'm starting to get more focused on my automotive art. This is my first real completed automotive painting. It's acrylic, 12X16. It's not one for the portfolio but it was a good practice exercise and I learned a lot.
