I kind of thought that might be a power related heat sink! HAHA! Looks really cool! (sorry for the pun) You, sir, have the knack for details! I love this kind of stuff.

Yeah Chopt has a nice set of cars over there somewhere in Texas. And his engines are the focal point of all of them as they should be.

Not the nicest on this thread, but I'm pretty proud for my first build in 15 years or more.

I've got a finned aluminum lifter valley cover now, with polished fins and paint between the fins.

Dude that looks incredible. I love how everything is black around it and there's just this jewel in the center!

Thanks, Jeffrey. I looked for just the right color for months and I'm really happy with the way that aqua metallic is set off by the black background.

damn, wish I was farther along on my little Dodge.. I've got some cool tricks up my sleeve for it... (i.e. a small stash of period correct hose clamps, brass fittings, cloth wrapped wire, all the good stuff, with a few cool accesories, oh and lots of glass (Holley Glass Bowls, Ball Air Cleaners (originally pre cleaners for Farm All Tractors), Carter Sediment bowls w/ the rock filters, etc.).. And a really cool Reclaim-O cast alum. Oil filter w/ a spin on stashed inside.. Oh and lots of glossy black paint w/ cream striping on the engine tin.. it'll make my little 223 stand out.. wish I could transfer the image in my head onto this computer...

ya i spent alittle too much time on it, for a car that should really never be showin with the hood open, but when it does i like it to look nice.

Anybody have anything else to contribute? We're in the middle of running the brake lines in my '35 and after that the engine is being plopped in so I am getting down to the nitty gritty!

  18. Shut up! get back to work!

I can't wait any longer for the "mother of all power parking thread" when you get that thing on the road.;)

For real!! I don't work late into the night I try to spend time with the family....but then they fall asleep too early like they did just now and I am full of questions. So I am seeking them so that I don't have to do things twice. I will tell you this.....I am super proud of the engine bay thus far. Shiny single stage black paint on the engine, polished trans adapter, black tranny, Offy valve covers....looking good.

  20. I guess it's a little later over there.....

Running the plug wires UNDER the valve cover and exhaust has always worked for me, and all the same hard ware helps, Low mount alt ain't bad either

  25. I have not looked at this post in a while.....Thanks classic, the flathead blower shot was from a photoshoot earlier this summer, I am not sure when it is suppose to run? Crissy (Hilton) Henderson is stunnning. Here is another shot by Trent Sherrill with Crissy and my 40. To keep this on topic, there is a chrome cross ram in there!
This is the first posting of the Olds motor in my coupe.
