Haven't posted any pinholes in a while, and after watching A Sweet Sickness I thought I'd post a shot of Verne Hammond I shot a few years ago.

awesome work bernie ! i read up on gold leafing a little and read that if you rub a raw cut potato on the surface area you want to leaf the starch leaves a film, this way when you have excess leaf it wont stick to the surface , sticks to the starch film which washes off with water . :) the only other time i leafed i did it on glass and had issues with the excess leaf sticking on the glass so bad i had to use a razor blade to get it off .. lifes lessons lol

I saw Rudi Hillebrand's '31 at the GNRS two years ago and didn't know anything about it except that I liked it. I scratched this design and was curious to know the year car so I googled different year Fords and there was his car on page one of 1931 Fords. He bought it off craigslist and built it himself. Earlier this month he introduced himself to me in Ventura and recognized his car in this scratchboard – even though I thought I tweaked it pretty good from my photo – and bought it. Both he and his wife were great to meet and not only do they both have good taste in cars but art as well. HA!
