I didn't have anything in mind for a post today, so instead I figured I'd just post a bunch of random photos - both new and old... Enjoy or ignore.

  2. Kennedy's car has pockets.

I'd like to know the rest of the story of Spike Lee, The General Lee, & Ryan's garage. That's a threesome I would have never imagined.

Funny, there were a couple more Lees there that day too. Me and my daughter. I remember hanging out in the garage and Marcie plopping down in the drivers seat after the production crew left. We were all just setting there taking it in and suddenly there was an odd silence. I think every one of us had focused on the horn button at the same time. We all shot looks at each other grinning and instantly came to the realization that no one had blown the horn yet.

So Marcie leaned on it. It ruled - I really liked that garage.

You're right, that dash IS to die for. Love those SW gauges.....
Thanks for the "pockets" reminder.... the '50 goes to the upholsterer this week.
And "that guy" really IS pretty good with rivets. Looks sharp!

OK, I'll bite. Who is "that riveter"? That box is killer. It looks like the kind of thing you find for sale and just aquire because it's so cool you're bound to figure out a use for it one day.

My house is full of stuff like that that I got just because I liked the way it was made" or I liked the texture or whatever.

    1. Some dude heard my garage was "cool" and wanted to know if he could use it in a scene for one of his independent films.

    2. I said sure expecting it to be some small ordeal with a hand camera or something.

    3. They showed up at 6am, took pictures of everything in my garage, gutted it, and then set it up how they wanted it...

    4. They took over my entire block with lighting trucks, sound equipment, etc... Then they took over my entire house using it for wardrobe changes, makeup, and all that jazz... They were there from 6am till about 7pm.

    5. Once they shot about 6 or 7 scenes, they packed up, put my garage back EXACTLY how it was, and took off... leaving the general lee in my garage saying the transporter would be there shortly.

    6. The film went to Sundance and got bought by Spike Lee... It's called the Confederate States of America... I think it has bombed since.

In any case, this is a much better story to tell in person and not write...

In reference to pic number 8 (crazy cab-over El Camino thing), look forward to reading about that one soon.
As for number 5, reminds me of "In The Wind", circa about 20 years ago.
