My car, I traded on it, like I do everything. Yes, I got it from Buggmann. ;) It has 14,000 Original Miles. It also has the bigger 289ci engine. Since I've had it I have did a lot of cleaning on it and just working on little odds an ends. I put a glasspack on it with a turn out and down. Sounds pretty mean, was loud as heck. I also have removed the old Carter and installed a Edelbrock and a 1" spacer. Pictures are from the day I drove it home. That's were I am so far, I'll keep this updated... Hopefully. ;)

You sir have my favorite car of all time. I used to have one but I foolishly sold it thinking it was too far gone to fix and I've been kicking myself ever since.

    Nice, Brother!

    Ya' got hubcaps for it?

  7. Man, I would love to have one of these 2 dr wagons. I've down drawings of the '59 wagon a bunch of times and has the possibility of being a cool custom. All it takes is imagination and ingenuity.

Thanks Guys! I need some baby moons for her! Right now I really just plan on lowering it a bit in the front and just enjoying it. The old thing drives great down the road, extremely comfortable. Here are some pics after I cleaned it up. ImageUploadedByTJJ1318470041.038351.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1318470126.967434.jpg

And one neat old stock photo!

I can't look at a 2 dr. Stude wagon without thinking gasser..... Radiused rear wheel wells, straight axle, injector stacks through the hood....

Always clean, solid, well-designed cars. Simply beautiful...even in stock form. And the Classic "European" -styled grille/front end looks cool just as it is.

Enjoy it ! Ya don't have to do much to make 'em work !

    Why so sad?

  21. cool....keep it simple....maybe just buy some factory 62-64 bolt on disk brakes(from me)....one of my Studie buddies swaped out the 6 for an V8 in his 2 door wagon back in about 1975 - it was sweet - but his dad - an old Stude collecter didn't like it to well...hey - do we have a Studebaker HAMB club?

How much do you want for the brakes?

  23. Actually, calling it a two door wagon is like the, proverbial, Model A five window coupe. All 59 Stude wagons were two doors. My aunt bought one new in 59. V8 with a three speed. Loved that car

Outstanding wagon, I think these are as cool as it gets. The sweet 289 to boot, enjoy and congrats on a super winner. ~sololobo~

Just in time for Hallowe'en, maybe you can find some inspiration in these photos, taken at a car show here in Brisbane, Australia a couple of years ago. IMO this is one of the prettiest Lark wagons ever...very subtle and very striking.

Ever since I first learned to drive (the family's 1959 Lark) I have had a soft spot in my heart (or, is it in my head?) for the old Stewdies.

You got a lot of body work in your future on that passenger side! Have you joined the SDC Forum yet? If I recall correctly, there are a lot of SDC Members in your area who would probably want to see and help you on your ride, if you are interested.

Then again you did get rid of a harley... Thats one less oil stain in your driveway!
