That 5w is rad!!! It's nice to see a few coupes every now and then out on the dry lakes.

 

Is that the Baldwin Special in the last pic?

Sure looks like it.

 

Is that A in the 7th picture on &#8216;33-&#8216;34 rails, or just Deuce rails that have had the character line removed?

Picture 10 is the one that catches my eye. What a handful! A person fits in that tiny cockpit?

 

Another great edition of Brownie photos. I noticed that these roasters are minus any numbers for the event. No big deal just an observation.

I know it's all about the cars 'round here, but I for one also dig vintage shots with interesting people and backgrounds too.

 

Stunning and raw. I can almost taste the salt, and maybe the occasional bug.

 

Completely agree... The vintage photos are so great to look at.
Now if you can find some photos with some early Customs in them... foreground of background... Then this Bert Bloomquist series will be Absolutely Perfect!

This is a recent pic of the '49 Baldwin special, it's very similar but I think they're different cars.

 

Marmon V-16 in car XVI. Bert seems to remember this car the most.
