That's as close to a time machine as we get. Thanks for posting.

I'm thinking it's 1963 though, as that's the newest cars I see in all of the racing footage, and all of the "new" Chevy's at the dealership are '63s.

    Cool!!

That's pretty awesome! My favorite part is the Corvettes battling it out....then stomping the T-Bird!

Bad Ass. Was life simpler back in the earlier 60s? I don’t know, People had to work, stay healthy, teach your children. Same as today. I was a kid then. Only thing, I wish my kids could have grown up then. Just drop me off in that Chevy dealer. Priceless. Slim

The town resembles Colusa, California, about an hour north of Sacramento, but it could also easily be one of many small towns in the Sacramento or Central Valleys.

Yowza! He needs to get that up on one of the stock photo sites and make some money. I'd love to see bits of that on the next History Channel car-related special.

The "Chevy Dealership" is also a OK USED CAR LOT. (sold used Chevy's) Blue and yellow sign with a circle at the top. Rare signs. Thats why there is all those early model Chevy's sitting on the lot too. Might be HIS lot, or where he worked.
VERY neat film! We push fuel cars today at around 30 MPH, I think them boys were rollin a bit better than that!! :D

    Thanks a ton for sharing!

I'll watch it again to see if you're right. However, all of the "new" cars at the lot are 1963's. Also, new model year cars come out before the actual calendar year. So, I'm still thinking it's 1963 even if there was 1 1964 car in it.

The image was a little too fuzzy for me to tell for sure, but it looked like some of the road signs that would have indicated route numbers at the intersection might have had an outlined shape that would be like the shape of the state where it was located. The other signs seemed to indicate a US route.

It was difficult to tell, but could it have been a Missouri route sign? Can anybody else catch it?

Oh, and isn't it interesting to watch racing videos where all of the cars have steel wheels and some of them have wide white walls on all 4 wheels?

Friendly, drunken advice to anyone reading this who is into FILM and is UNtrained (like ME): watch the footage and SLOW the eff down with the camera next time you record!

Sweeping by so quickly at the cell-rate of FILM makes for a much less enjoyable presentation.

See you May 8th at Union Grove for the Chrome Czars drag day! Bring your movie cams!!

It looked like a bubble top impala pushing a dragster in a few of the frames...not sure??
