This car has survived all these years as an original. Keep it that way. Maybe a nice set of era wheels but please no radical modifying, NASCAR or otherwise.

One of my all time favorite cars, probably in the top 3, and it's even the "right" color. WOW!

Very nice score! I am more partial to the 63 1/2 as both my brothers drove them (Mark's was a 427 4 spd ragtop with factory radio reverb) but I am warming up to the 64's as more and more of them just seem to be popping into view.

    I totally agree!

  8. Great score, Cob! '64 Galaxies rule. Check out the Wimbledon White one in my albums. It was my 2nd ever car and I still miss it some 45-plus yrs. since I sold it. It had the rare swing-away steering column option.

  11. Cob that is one beauty and will clean up real nice. Back in the day I was the new car clean up guy at the local Ford dealership and remember cleaning quite a few of those. Beautiful cars. You are one lucky "sumbitch". Have to keep us posted with pics of that beauty.

clean it up, check the brakes, fix the minor rust, and drive it. No modifications needed.

Nice find and great color combo, too. Minimal changes (exhaust, etc.), and just the necessary minor repairs. Then, probably an extra set of wheels and tires (chrome reverse and blackwalls, maybe Radirs and thin whitewalls, etc.) to swap on and off for a change of pace every now and then. Congratulations.

Hey, I had one just like that in high school, only mine was a 63 1/2 w/ black interior and a 289. LOL. Nice car you've got there.

I drove the family to San Francisco when I got my "learner's permit" in 1966 in Dad's '64 Ford...352", A/C, a really nice looking car. I didn't think so at the time, but I'd love to have it back today....
63 1/2s and '64's are all great looking cars.
I'd also love to get ahold of a '64 Country Squire...
    Nice find!!!!!!!!!

Nice car. Clean it up and drive it a little at a time to get to know it. Then fix all the little things and keep her original as possible.
Do you know where the wheel covers are?
