Same '50 Olds but different color and reworked front clip,
quad head lights, mirror image grille. was gonna put in a bar
or bullets but then I thought what the heck we use to just
knock out the center of the grille and run with out anything
    so.....

Actually got time to paint a bit this week. Getting a few things ready for the Christmas season. Finished a tool box that had been sitting half done for a while, also did several clocks.

I haven't posted anything in a while. I have done little to no artwork since July. But I am back! Here is a few new pieces for the art show.

Wow, the Friday art show gets earlier and earlier every week. Here are some of the newest t-shirts that I have done for Vintage Drag Club ( www.vintagedragclub.com ).

The t-shirts are T.V. Tommy Ivo's Barnstormer and Raymond Beadle's Blue Max funny car.

I've got a off subject question and I did not want to make a whole new thread.
I Got some Moon Discs from Dean Moon back in 1980 or so. They were wrapped in newspaper from 1967. He told me they were off some of his race cars. He told me these were off the "Moonbeam"
There is salt crust on the inside but are kind of oxidized on the outside. Would it be a bad idea to clean these up, or leave as is? Sorry about the Off Topic.

Here is the helmet I did for Hooleys Land speed Studebaker. I read about him and the volunteers from the HAMB and wanted to do my part. This is my first Helmet that will hit the salt! Hope you guys like it and thanks for helping me find these guys.

Evil eye is watching... 1 shot on panel.

  12. Here's a photoshop I did several years ago of the plan for the fleetline I'm building. Sorry it's not bigger or higher res....I mindlessly saved a low res file over the full photoshop file. D'oh! Haven't ever gotten back around to redoing the whole thing, but you get the idea.

Anywho, with acknowledgement to Rodder's Journal, I started with a scan of their two page spread in an early issue of Doug Fox's (?) great fleetline. I removed the seam from the middle then revamped the whole thing into a chevy version of Steve Stanford's sketch of a similar Olds in R&C in the early 90's. After having this on the back burner for several years, the real car finally in progress. :)

super crappy pictures, kinda blurry and I have no idea why white paper looks tanish. But I draw shit, not take pictures of shit.

the gasser is just something I am playing with. I think the original pic is off the HAMB.

  22. Here's a couple of license plates done up for customers. The guy who wanted the Muroc one didn't know what color a 48 California plate was(it's black on yellow)so he said make one of each.Going on a suede Deuce highboy.

The MG plate is for a good friend who services my vintage watches and owns a 61 MGA.Hysterical to watch him get in and out of it;he's 6ft 6in tall.

´28 Tudor. This bit different style than I usually do. I was trying to catch the feeling of the old advertisements of the 40's or something like that era.

  24. Transport yourself back in time, if you will, to a time not unfamiliar to many gathered here today.
    The year is 1981. A budding young artist, a young man of 17, struggles his way through his junior year in High School;
uncertain of where he fits in to this vast world.
Car crazy, girl crazy, he seeks those who think as he does; finding few...
What if a place exhisted where car nuts and artists gathered to share their love of both? What would such a place look like, be like?
This is when these images wer forged, locked in time, seen by few, until now... the year...1981.
    Thank you Ronald Regan...
    Thank you H.A.M.B.

These were all part of one large drawing called Cruise Night in Hawaii:
