That looks more Arabic than Cyrillic, Ray... I don't know for sure though.

I looked at all my Russian Guns, and they all had more "english" looking letters than that.

Either way, cool score!

And, the work is phenomenal. I need to start practicing...

Yeah I kind of thought that myself Jay.I have a Russian-English dictionary around in one of my book cases somewhere(I'm a voracious reader;I'm reading 3 books simultaneously now).I tried comparing the cyphers to some on a 17th century Persian jambiya I have but didn't see any real similarities.Hopefully Mike will be able to provide some background on it tomorrow.
