[FONT=&quot]The Hot Rod Hundred is designed to bring back something that has been missing for the last few decades…driving. The HRH is a 100 mile trek along the forgotten two lane highways. Approx. every 20 miles we will have a stop to draw a card and regroup. The run ends at a nice place to hang out and picnic with your family. Don’t want to drive your precious hot rod or custom that far? Maybe this event isn’t for you. This event embraces road chips and bug guts as a badge of honor. Go a hundred or go home..[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Roothawg and I are planning the OKC/North Texas event. We will start in OKC and Denton, Tx and meet in the middle at a beautiful recreation are in Sulpher, OK. We will have a poker run, door prizes and a 50/50 all for charity. Registration is $25.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]So what does $25 bucks get you? If you pre-register you get a t-shirt, 1 poker hand and a badge of honor, if you finish the 100 mile trek. You can enter the day of the run, but no t-shirts will be available. We are donating all of our proceeds to Hope Farm, which is an organization that provides fatherly male role models to young sons of single mothers.

I'm still working on the route plan for the Springfield run. I haven't put together the registration form for it yet, either, but will be doing that soon. The date for the Springfield event is the Saturday of Easter weekend. I'm hoping that won't keep folks from participating, but I was trying to avoid conflicts with the Lone Star Roundup and the NSRA OkC event.

Over the next few weekends, I am planning to do some scouting runs, so if you have nothing better to do, give me a shout!

I really like driving events,,we get up early in the morning and drive 154 miles just to meet up with the guys on the All Deuce Run at 10 AM to drive about 80 miles with the coupes,roadsters,sedans and trucks,,,always a great day,,after the run we head home,,roughly 400 miles by the end of the day. HRP

 

Sounds cool. I'll have to make one of these.

Man,if you can't drive and enjoy your Hot Rod why not collect stamps? HRP

 

I'm more likely to go to an out of town event because I enjoy the mind clearing effect the road has on me. My stress just melts away.

That's why we're doing this, we know that there are guys who would rather sit behind the wheel than in a lawn chair... This event is for them, and to help out a local good cause.

I know some of the guys put on the blanket run in other states. That's kinda our inspiration.

Gearhead Bill, you know any of the guys putting on the event? We're open to all suggestions. We want to make this thing top notch.

 

Just went on a 210 mile cruise a week ago...... but my 32 coupe has a SBC, so it was no problem......just lots of fun!

 

no trailers? no trophies? how strange.

 

How about some info on these events? Would love to drive from Idaho to be a part of this.

 

Wish OK. City and North Texas had different dates. A goal of all four, would be a blast. I'm in..,

Please get the northern Hay to put one of these on in Iowa. I'd like an event like this.

Our local "driving" event (Cruise to the Woods) has turned into a parking lot instead. Too big for it's own good.

 

Ken, they end at the same place my friend. It's a 2 in 1 event.

 

Very Kool idea, I've been on similar runs before and they have been a blast. Count me
in for the Springfield run, I already have plans for the June date.

Is there a year cut off?
