For some reason clicking on the link in Gasser57's post includes the Jalopy Journal web address also.

    You just need www.choppershotrodassociation.com

Wow, I'm going to print these ALL out, but if we're voting on the best, i gotta go with Beatnik's salt flat pic.

  11. Mercmad.....I took a wild ride with a couple of guys in a met' blue 39 coupe on some some gravel roads around Whangamata back in 76-77. I was tucked behind the seat and there was plenty of sliding action like the above pic. Was that you?

The 37 coupe pic is scanned from the Looking Back book. No info on the guy.

My best friends dad in high school...Jim Miles-driver-mechanic. Rod Pepmuller-mechanic. Bill Frontuto-driver. He was paraylized from the waist down driving the Magic Muffler sponsered car. One of the Halibrand wheels blew apart on one of the runs and he lost control of the car. The white fiat bodied hemi powered car was replicated to o.g. and has been at shows locally in the Cali area. KNUX!

These pictures were taken in April 1970 in my back yard ('38 picture is my front yard) Artesia, Ca.. That's a '37 Ford pick-up and we're putting a '53 Merc Flathead in it and she was great running old truck. That '38 was all stock right down to the rip and tear upholstery, another great running old Flathead. The '53 F100 in the back ground ran a 401 Nailhead after I blew up the Flathead.:)
