Just a heads up for all you Willys aficionados - Willys Night at the NHRA Museum is Wednesday May 2nd 2012 from 3.00pm to 8.00ish. Usually a great turn out of around 40 Willys. Here's a couple of shots from last year....

  2. Weasel,
Wish I could be there!!! Met Kevin, and Arron B. out at the GNRS, and that is a great venue for any event. Talked to Mike Nordahl a few weeks back, and he was going to try to be there also. Have fun you guys, and post lots of pictures.

Great - the weather sucks right now - drizzle and mud all over the road. No wipers either - Rain-X to the rescue! Still hoping to make it....

I haven't seen Augie in a few years - I will be there with the rusty crusty gasser wearing a Howard Cams jacket and a Fremont dragstrip Willys shirt....

Not a ton of cars, but a lot of serious quality cars. Great night. Also the Cobras at NHRA are amazing.

Panneton Bros... Thanks for taking the time to show your 1956 to my family. Really great car. It's inspired me to break out my old ex-drag car.

I'm waiting for my buddy Bob 'the lens' Mohler - he takes such superb photos with his mega camera that I don't bother taking pix anymore. I'll post a couple of teasers and a link when he sends them to me.

Weather was cold and grey and attendance was half normal but indeed there were some $eriou$$$ Willys there including Rick Lorenzen's awesome '41 gasser with it's Mike Kuhl built blown 392 - man that thing has a cam in it. Parked next to it was Mike Nordahl's arias Hemi powered coupe and my perennial favorite was there too - Lynn Park's, black 392 powered 1940 coupe. Hardcore Willys guys and racers were there in abundance. This was serious stuff.

Unfortunately Kiwi Kev was unable to make it - you were missed Kev. Good to get to meet Panneton Bros Racing from the Hamb and put a face to the name - he brought his period perfect '56 Chevy gasser And late in the day a badass '57 Ranchero gasser showed up. Pix later folks....

First Wednesday of every month during the warm seasons there is a nice gathering at the museum. Gotta get off of my ass and go. Only 5 minutes from my garage.
