http://youtu.be/v6aW6Z_r-9w Hadn't seen this before, the guy who posted it has a ton of interesting old black and white film from Detroit online also http://youtu.be/KL_mwBRQSSM set up video http://youtu.be/7dvuuIbvLWE 50-53 footage
Sound? That seems like pretty professional editing. Wonder if there is a soundtrack for that somewhere. Great stuff!
OUTSTANDING!! A real tribute to these racers, particularly Doug Hartlett, who died recently (his was the yellow #98 '34 coupe). Featured are Fred Lobello, Tom Cobb (orange "3-window A with the blown flathead), Kenz and Leslie, Ak Miller, Don Waite, Fred Carillo, Howard Johansen (yellow Crosley), even Harold Osborne (the "anteater" tank-nosed rear engined roadster), ...so many great hot rodders..
this is pretty excellent also http://youtu.be/mkKAg_-6LMU '50's hot rod racing on a small banking circle track, zero safety gear
Amazing footage of some very cool cars. It really gives personality to those old pictures we have of Bonneville.
Great thread, I will spend more time looking at more footage. The good old days were really great, I lived through them.
