Royboy goes to the 2012 Iron Invasion!
When Coolstuff told me that he was planning a show for the weekend that was previously the Hunnert weekend I said immediately that I'd be there. When he told me where it was going down I figured out it was a 12 hour drive and booked a room. It was worth every minute of the drive!
I hit Woodstock, IL around 5 on Friday, checked into the hotel and then went over to the McHenry Fairgrounds to see what was up.  Some braved the cold weather and camped on site, congrats to you, but I'm not that guy any more  Coolstuff's own ride    The Anderson 36    Cars were already parked and ready for spectators.  The Chrisman Bros. Coupe was on display in one of the 6 indoor show areas.    Bobwop brought over this sectioned shoebox roadster     The Merc looks great with paint!     click on any of the photos to go to the entire 573 image gallery. I thought it was a great show and the turn out was great, esp for the first year of the show. Some really nice cars showed up and I didn't run into not one person in a bad mood or with an atttitude even with the cold temps. Congrats and thanks to Coolstuff for putting on a very good show!

Excellent pics of the show...of the ones you have here pic 15 above has a surreal glow to it from the sunset...saw a few cars that I somehow missed at the show.

Still on Friday night, just a couple more then on to Saturday morning for the main event!  Saturday!            The car looks a lot better with paint and without the tire from the Vintage Torque Fest in field underneath!         That's it for part 2, 20 more next time I can get to the computer!
