Go ahead and flame me for this, but I'm not diggin' the Caddy caps on this. I realize they are popular and iconic. As radical as this car is...I'd prefer something newer wheel treatment wise...57 Caddy wheels...some Caddy Saber wheels....Skylark wires... The current caps were what...10 years old when this car was brand new? Still a righteous ride either way.

It looks like a chopped down two/fourdoor hardtop convertible, the first chop was with the windshield unchopped, as far as I know.

Not to be nit picky but our club Los Phantoms had one of those trophys made for Pauls show. As for the car, I liked it before he re did it and I still think it is a way kool kustom. Everybody will want to tear it apart because it is not their style, when you build a car be prepared for the critics

Diggin' up this ole thread. Really dig that 1st version. I was thinkin' about this for longer on mine. The stock windshield is just too high. Now I just looked at another one to buy today and then I found this thread via google...

Does anybody know if this is the original Coupe/ Ragtop windshield? I was always afraid that it might be too laid back, so the roof would get too small.... hmm. It looks like it is that stock window. Anybody knows for sure?

Thanks.

This is a long thread but I go step by step in chopping my El Camino, I used a hardtop windshield as did Paul on the first go round. It's a big undertaking.
Love your truck.

I would normally agree with this, but the way this car is styled, I think they work. 99.9 % of the time they wouldn't.
