Rob Ida's new ride. He's gonna leave it alone and enjoy driving it.

Me either..... I like it! The dark windows & wheels really make that bright yellow paint "pop".

Also like the orange-one next door. The hood scoop looks good. (Are there other pictures of this orange Willys on this tread???)

Since seeing the "Hurst's Gasser Passer" at the Gasser Reunion at Thompson Drag Strip last June I have had a special eye out looking for those stainless & aluminum hood scoops ftom the early days of drag racing.

Yes.... the Opel's going to get a "nice one" once I figure out which design I want. This one is now "on-the-list". :)

    Great Thread!!!!

Here's one from the Pittsburgh area.

This picture was taken at the Custom Car Show at the Hunt Armory in 1970.

This is Angie Greco's orange 37 Willys coupe on the return road at Connecticut Dragway around 1965. Angie, from Weathersfieldfound the Willys in Winstead, and later sold it to the late Gary Saunders of Waterford , honest! He later sold it and it disappeared.I took the picture with my parents' Polaroid B&W 60 second instant camera, didn't coat it and then made the ingenious move of putting the 2x2 photo in my wallet unprotected for quite some time, thinking the car would be around forever,(yeah right). When PC's finally came around, I scanned it and did a photo shop type partial restoration. Glad I didn't destroy it all together all those years.Color photos that people took care are on the hamb, just search. If no success, I can find out. I often wonder if I saw this somewhere but with another redo, color, etc. The car also ran at Sanford Maine. he also raced against the Beeline Willys and K.S. Pittman. Here's the before and after photos, if anyone thinks they can restore them better than you have at it here.
