Default chrysler boattail speedster ??

I say what I think was one in a barn nearby. Nerver really thought about it in a long time. Talked to the old man that "owned" it. Said it was the above car used to race on board tracks. The cockpit was small and my hand would barely fit between the wheel and the dash. Not sure of the engine. the exhaust exited the right side with a straight pipe that went to the rear and got larger on the way. Like a really long header. Went back some years later and it was gone. This was around 1995-1996. There were a bunck of othe old cars there too. Am I nuts. It was red and I think it had wooden wheels.

My guess would be a special. Also, I'm not sure of racing with wooden wheels.

Now....YOU should be 'special' and post an intro so we know who you are. Then take a camera and go get some pics....we love "specials" and one-offs with any kind of racing provenance.

One time forty years ago I saw a really nice car too. Perhaps in a barn, or behind a shed. It might have been red, or maybe green. Anyway, I can't remember it now, or where it was, but maybe somebody else has seen it and can remind me...
