Hi,
I think it’s time for me to introduce myself. Growing up most of my friends had and talked about cars from the 60-70s but I was always more looking at custom cars from the 30s and 40s. The last couple of years I have started to realize that there actually are a lot of cars and people interested in the same era in Sweden but they tend to be "hiding" more than the ones liking the later era. Last year we attended to A-bombers, Old school Weekend and it resulted in that we came home with a Buick Roadmaster Sedanet -48 .The plan for the car is to slowly try to transform it into a traditional custom, inspired from how the built customs when the car was new. Finding this forum was a really good thing, being inspired by everyone else. ![]() ![]()

Welcome from california.... Thats a sweet old Buick, does it still have
a dina-flow transmission ? A buddy of mine had a 48 when i was in high school. Seeing your car sure brings back some fond memories. Have a blast with it........ |

Oh yeah! When you take off the engine stays at the same RPM,
and the car catches up to the engine. Thats the way they were from the factory. Also you can stand a nickel on it's edge on the valve cover when it's idling, and it won't fall over. Cruising through the Swedish country side in a 48 Buick, life just doesn't get any better then that ...... |

Swe64: Nice looking patina on your car
Would realy like to go to Abombers this year, but a friend is having their wedding the same weekend and I have to attend to that ( at least my wife says that). Crazy people having their wedding the same day as abombers .Backamo is only 50 kilometers from here. |
