That's right fellas. We are open for business. Get registered here:
www.hambdrags.com Two things to remember: 1. This is event is for pre-registered cars only. If you aren't pre-registered, you aren't racing... 2. This is a traditional drag race. Please keep that in mind... Things might be just a touch more strict this year. Thanks! R.

I've also been waiting on someone to start the trash talking,,,, but I guess ya'll watched too much Mr.Rogers while growing up....
Well you can keep your manners,,,, but if your're running anything on pump gas with at least 100 miles of bug guts on the windshield you better look out for the three Model-A's with Greazy Hubcaps Drag-Tags... or at least wait two or three rounds until we all blow our engines or snap some axles!!! haha! Start making excuses cause the Greazies are coming to get cha,,,,

Hey TSquared,
looks like me and you are the only ones jazzed about starting some "Pre-Joplin-trash-talking-and-bench-racing",,, guess everyone else is too busy watching Golf Championships or Ladies-Tennis or something.... Sounds like you have a strong running old-school N/A chevy in that 40 ford, will you be driving from a distance far enough to compete for the Yayhoo Cup? It doesnt matter who wins cause anyone that can drive the distance and still beat on their car gets bragging rights over the trailer queens. keep your eyes open for a post from the Yay-Hoo Car Club. They normally post a thread explaning what it takes to compete for the Cup. Great group of guys! Jason

I`m not energetic enough or tough enough to drive; I`ll leave that to the younger bunch. I`ll be doing good just to get there...
I too thought we`d hear from Buzzard or DW or Lux or any of the other Yay-Hoos; I hope some of them can make it. How bout Grits from down by Dallas, or Glen from Phoenix, there should be a bunch of "regulars" talking trash by now. It`s going to be hard to beat that Flamed Abone for the Yay-Hoo cup ...He`s got a solid car, and drives about a thousand miles to get there...Maybe the Austin bunch has a secret weapon they`re working on...I guess we`ll see when we get there. You got that right, Flamed A-Bone has a combination that just wont quit! He told me the other day he has put 25K miles on his sedan sinse he was at the 2010 drags. Thats impressive! I was the one that beat his time last year but the swap-meet reconditioned rods I was running didnt seem to like the RPMs. I didnt feel worthy of the cup cause I had to trailer it home, but it was sure cool to get my name on it. With that said,,, I slapped another stock-rod engine together due to limited budget. I'll probably end up breaking something again this year, but like I told em last year... "If you don't break something; you aint trying hard enough" Jason AKA "the Chicken Coupe"

I'm one of the three Model A's DaSchaefer was referring too in the post above. The Tudor Sedan. Not near as fast as he is but just as fun. This pic is from 2010 HAMB drags.

I'm hoping to bust into the 11's this year, too much converter last year, ran out of engine...
Hey Daschaefer, I did manage to drive my car back home after you and Reggie broke both of yours, but I did have a baffle in my header come loose so it sounded like I had a bunch of old pots and pans in my header for 300 miles. Hope to have better headers for this year though.....
