I guess what we are trying to say is understand what you are doing and why, it can be very costly to build a high performance A or B even a high compression head costs. Unless you are keen in the long run if you just want hp buy a standard small block Chev but if you want the experience and fun of building your own motor and learning what makes them perform go for it. The small block will have easier to get power at far less a price but a well built banger will teach you heaps before it blows up and lets you know what I have just told you for free!!! Why do we do it ,its a challenge and its fun.
