And my real answer: My Grandfather - who, when I was about 8, took an old rototiller engine that was probably from the 50s (you had to manually wind the pull rope each time) from under his bench in his shop, worked on it for a couple of hours using bits and pieces from his stock of coffee cans and mason jars, and got it running - between him and my dad (who is still here), we built a wooden framed, brakeless, go kart that was the catalyst for my passion for anything that runs on dead dinosaurs - he left us when I was 18 - long before I was a real 'man' - and he never knew what he meant to who I am today - in more ways than the Briggs & Stratton engine. Cheers Grampa.

I am not feeling well today and that could be arranged.
![]() I have been thinking about the whole beer and president scenario. Actually any president will do. So here I am sitting with a presedent of the united states. We are throwing a few back and all at once I say, "OK I'm shit faced and I am going to give to a slap." The president in question says, "Wait a minute." Then he calls one of his goons over and says, '"Son would you take a bullet for me?" "You know I would sir", is his reply. Then he sticks his raybanned face across the table for his slap. Just think about it. Truth of the matter is that I have already had a drink with about everyone that I want to have a drink with. There a couple on here that I may throw back a shot or two with before all is said and done, if I am lucky. Luck being the operative word here, like I started this post with I am not feeling well today . . . Life is lived in minutes.

One thread I read just tonight reminded me of one more person to add to my list........Leroi Tex Smith. All of his articles came out of the pages as something we average guys could relate too. He just seems like a real Good Ol Boy who knew how to get car stuff done. I miss his stories.
