April 1950 ad for Zionite douche product, as publish in Screen Stories magazine, thanks
to the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising and Marketing History, Duke Uni-
versity. (Odor-causing waste substances? Jeez, a young person reading this scary ad
copy would probably give celibacy some serious thought!)

Quaint in a mean and obsolete way, what? So many of these old ads cast the woman
as almost a criminal! So sexist in its obviously unintended way, it's beyond humorous,
all the way to ridiculous. Ad from Modern Romance magazine, 1950, thanks to the
John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising and Marketing History, Duke University.

Great photo, Dave. I don't know where the Blue Mountains are, but whoever made the notes on this photo must not have used the Boone & Crockett standards. If THIS is a seven-pointer elk, that's apparently PER SIDE. But 12 feet high at the shoulder? I doubt that even a moose ever goes 12 feet at the shoulder.

Never been a "Trophy hunter"myself but that put about 800 pounds of good meat in his freezer.

I agree 100%. That jerkoff in the picture should be ashamed of himself, not proud. He's just another typical dumbass hunter....

Very true. Like I said, nothing negative intended. I know a bunch of hunters and like to kid them how I have to throw rocks at deer to get them to move on when I'm out on a bike ride.
