Default Dragfest 2012?
This weekend at the ANRA race I heard there will be a 2012 Dragfest at Bakersfield. Any info if this is true

Bruce Cox talked to Randly Winkle recently who told him that he had talked to the manager of Famosa and they had worked out a deal for May 2012. I still don't know if it is absolute and didn't want to say anything until Randy spoke up, but since you brought it up, this is what I have heard. I do hope its true as Dragfest was a great old school event. I send
Randy an email recently but haven't heard anything back so far. I'll call Bruce and see if he's heard anything else.

I talked to Bruce again last night. He said when he talked to Randy a couple weeks ago, that it was a "done deal". He will see him and reconfirm this at Bako next weekend and let me know, for now it looks like the real deal so start planning everyone.

Great to hear it's back! Only hope it's not the first or third weekend of May - 1st weekend is Morro Bay show & 3rd weekend is Eagle Field.

I talked to Blake Bowser yesterday at the Winter Nats. He told me there wouldn't be a Dragfest this year.
