Actually, scratch that..A full floating tach or it that is to big and obnoxious,... a floating fuel gauge would and could be elegant and functional.
This most likely has already been done a some point.....

these are cool.. id have to have a coup to show it off if i owned one.. but, man trying to tell what time it is while taking a sharp S turn. heh

need to make a iphone horn button. that way you could have a clock, gps, speedo, ipod, and dont forget the HAMB app. right in the middle of the steering wheel.
