thanks, I know it isn't much in the way of progress...

not shown is the pedal setup
I am using an Ansen set I've had kicking around for a while,
it's a bit modern for this build as it's the version that uses the early '60s Chevy truck dual cylinder master, but it's what I had and it fits.

    not really,
rolled some beads in the new floor section yesterday,
and Fred posted a picture of the ferrera stainless steel valves going in the #10 heads

finaly past the holidays and work has slowed to a steady run

finished the welding on the passenger side of the turtle deck last weekend,

but biggest best monument has arrived
Fred stopped by last night to drop off the fresh short block and heads
Fred does exceptional work and is adamant about accuracy

I have absolutely no doubt this motor was put together right

it's a '56 Olds 324 block and heads, forged pistons, solid cam, oversize valves,
and ballanced to within the weight of a hair pulled from a gnat's ass

    I can't thank him enough, I am stoked :)

The "fasten seat belt" sign above the short block couldn't be more appropriate.....

Another neat build......doesn't get any better than the NW.....

Love the fendered look of it. i know you had them laying and collecting dust. But why not concider using a model with a"ridge".
I suppose the "ridge" model is period correct too.

Lookin' good. Hope your '27 RPU finds a good home. It provided a lot of inspiration on my T build. Will definately be following this build as well.

Awesome build. I have always wanted to build a 26/27 Roadster. I have the bucket I just need the turtle deck that goes behind it to start building mine. Can't wait to see more of your build.

  26. Looking great! Can't wait to see the end result...

How tall are you Paul? Those T's are tight!

  27. Any updates? I really like where this build is going.

not much, but I did "reverse" a header today

I had a complete Belond header set for a '50 Olds,
the passenger side header looked good when installed upside down on the driver's side, but the driver's side header was not going to work for me.
i recently picked up another passenger side header but it turned down into the frame when installed on the passenger side, so it would not work as is.
I decided the best thing to do would be to cut it apart and rearange the bends to work and look like the other (driver's) side.

    here's some pictures..

at this point I didn't like the way it looked so I removed the large diameter filler piece and cut a longer filler piece for the rear primary..

that looked better so I welded it all up and ground and filed all the welds relatively smooth.

as you can see it looks pretty much like the other side now
