I bought a 51' Shoebox at last year, nice chop but the floors were completely rotten. The 49'-50' have a different style floors and there are a good quality floor pans for them for sale. But i havent find any good quality pans for 51' with reasonable price. Those pans are simple to fabricate and i have a HF based beadroller.So...
HF beadroller is a decent tool, after you have done some reinforcements: ![]() I do metalwork for living, mostly welding etc.But i have to admit that i am an amateur with lathe. But i've done some bungs for my shovelhead etc,i know how to do simple stuff with lathe. So i decided to do my own dies for the beadroller. ![]() Here is a pic of piece of original floor pan with the die i made: ![]() And here is what my shoebox's floors look like after fabbing and welding the pans: ![]() If anyone is interested of these dies,i am willing to share the blueprints and they are absolutely free.
