Here's some pics of the adapter we're running in my dad's 51 Chev.
It's the kit from Buffalo Enterprises, we've been running it for about 4 years now with no problems.

Rocket 88, thanks for posting the pictures. That looks like a very clean set-up. Sam

You should have included Buffalo's phone number. Its 360 652 7684. He makes all kinds of suspension parts for 37 to 54 Chev Cars & trucks.
    I am a user , customer & a good friend of his.
His stuff works & fits as he tries every part before he ships.
You do have read the instructions

Is that a 292 I6 starter motor on that adapter plate?

It looks like a great aet-up. I've got to get a plate to fit the scattershield to my 261 some day.

    cheers

  6. What6 all was included with the kit?? A crank hub, flexplate and the plate itself??? What kinda $$$???

    The kit was $450.

It includes the adapter plate, flex plate, hardware and instuctions.
You have to grind the back of the block where the main cap bolts on, a shim and template tell you how deep and how big around to grind for flexplate clearance.
    It uses regular 350 starter.
This time around I made some mid mounts that bolt to the plate to help support the motor and trans.
As you can see by the pic, it's along way from the front of the engine to the tranny mount!

Would you suggest this kit to anyone? I have heard a lot of bad things about TH-350 to I-6 kits. Just kinda leary. I have the T-5 already but a TH-350 would be a better choice really.

    Yes, it's a good kit.
The only minor issue I had was shimming the starter correctly.
We bought this kit about 4 years ago and dad has put quite a few miles on it with no problems.

Man this is starting to sound like an infomercial.
