mine says SIGNAL STAT 900 right on it. but it seems from the diagrams that the 800 wiring is more like what i have. when in doubt, just start twistin wires together and see what flashes. ha

Maybe the 6-wire unit doesn't use the same taillight bulbs for brake and signal. That simplifies the internals of the switch (cheaper!) but you have to add lights out back. Most old farm trucks had switches like that and "Mickey Mouse ear" lights on the roof.

Yes, my 6 wire unit came out of a 55 f100, it also has a 4 way flasher button. I guess i'll just have to take it apart and figure it out, shouldn't be that hard.

You're welcome... I went through the same thing trying to figure mine out, so when I found the diagrams I kept them handy knowing that someone else somewhere down the line would need it some day.

    Glad I could help!

Guys, I have a turn signal switch with the built in four way flashers. The unit is good and heavy, The only marking is "UA" on the side facing the driver. It has seven wires. The colors are brown, yellow, blue, green, lite pink, black and dark pink (possible faded red ?). If anyone can identify this unit I would appreciate it.

Good timing on this one. I've got two of those units that didn't have any instructions.
