![]() "A 1907 Itala. 7L engine with 40HP. That’s Ettore Guizzardi, Prince Scipione’s mechanic, sitting in the driver’s seat, just before the start in Peking. The car was stripped down to bare essentials to keep it light and fast. The weird-looking mudflaps are actually floorboards!" http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...text_17432.jpg |

Can anyone ID this big car. It's parked in front of the YMCA, where scary looking Santas congregate
I think the last car has a MASS plate, it looks like Boston but I'm not sure it is.

MrFire, that Mercedes is flat awesome. Surely says a lot about race
tech and BALLS, doesn't it? The belly pan and wires are trick, plus those wings! Here's another pretty special car: '21 Lexington Minuteman 6. Not exactly a Model T! ![]() |

Here's another view of a Pierce in Yosemite. Interesting that the CAL plate says 1930 but the car is no later than 1918.

Maybe a Locomobile from around 1906? I reckon it is not bigger than about 30hp and on a wheelbase of not much more than 110".
