Another thread got me sharpening my pencil (so to speak):

Post #97 (and # 103) in the chevy II 4 banger thread had some data points

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144835&highlight=guyw&page=5

    1927 full-fendered T touring / stock height windshield/ top up / 65 mph / auto trans / Chevy II 4-banger / 90 hp at the flywheel...

From this I calculated a value for (Cd x A) which would allow me to make simplified aerodynamic calcs FOR THIS CAR CONFIGURATION (although it must be close for T-buckets with stock-type windshields / tops).

So, I though someone might be interested in my results:

What mph with 20 hp and manual trans? (ie stock) 40 mph

What mph with 60 hp and manual trans? (ie flatty 4-bangers) 58 mph

What HP to go 70 mph (auto)? 112 at flywheel

What HP to go 100 mph (auto)? 328 at flywheel

I love Ts, but I need to be realistic....

This could all be refined for Ts with more data points and good estimates of frontal area...

At some point I'd be worried about wearing that stock height windshield!

I had a BBC t-bucket with a full height windshield. Got it up around 120 mph on the highway once and noticed the glass was bending a slight amount in the center where there is no frame. I slowed down...scared the shit out of me.
