Thanks a lot Keivin for the great time. It may have been small but it was a great time and I really liked getting an inside look at the broiler before it opens. It was a pleasure to finally meet Adriene, Lindsey and Jim. We also had a surprise visitor. Sam Hollingsworth showed up with his wife in her T-Bird. They happen to be driving by and saw us there and pulled in. For those of you who do not know Sam he is the guy that biult the Nomad on the May 67 Rod and Custom cover.

Thanks again to Kevin, Jim, Adriene, Lindsey and Joe for putting on a HAMB Meet and Greet. Since I arrived so late I did not get a chance to take any pics.

  3. Hi there, everything sounds great, whats the program for food the 26th. is the kitchen going to be up and running? and is there going to be inside dinning?
If the HAMB friendly car can't make the trip and we bring our "other" car can we still attend?

Wish I could have made it. Working away on the website- hoping to get it loaded up by the time the Broiler opens back up. That Nomad built by Sam is now being cloned by Richard Graves. That thing is bitchin'!

    See you all next week.

Hi RustyGem and everyone. The 26th is a pre-opening bash...preview party. :) The "other" car is welcome. As you can see from the pix, the Broiler is still aways off from opening and unfortunately the kitchen will not be up and running. Drinks and snacks will be available, but packing an ice chest would probably be a good idea, especially if you're planning to make a day of it.

My Mom used to cruise there ( even got a ticket in the lot) when she was younger and saw that it was re opening...she is so freaking excited. She made me promise to take her there for a burger and a shake when it is open.
I was gunna surprise her but the darned news ruines it for me...lol.

    Yes Boys-Gals,
No grub planned now for the 26th, as the kitchen is closed, Ya could've had some very cool Chicken Ceasar Salad, Roast beef, tuna and chicken sandwiches as well as all of the brew that one could drink as Jim supplied enough for the HAMB contingent Others brought Hot Wings-Fries even some home made cookies!:D.

We needed to have this place open by now, but I've said all of this before= SOS.
The Blasters Deal will kick a**! This car show will be a larger meet n greet. It would be great if we can get a roach coach to drop on by and serve up some big boys:confused: If you guys have a connection, let Adriene-I know. I'd settle for the In-N-Out or Tommy's truck :D.

It was nice to meet Sam/wife. That is one of my faves (Nomads) and he even cruised the Broiler in it.;).

Thanx 4 hangin in the heat under the canopy with us and listening to a great band that is always a part of the Broiler. A special thanx to both the Blasters and Burly Burlile, In the 80's both of those icons brought fame to it. Who'd a known that 30 yrs later that they'd be at the place that was a part of their lives watching it come back together after such a devastating blow.

The feeling is sureal walking in the place, most people had the same feeling that we had almost as if it was never damaged just remodled. That's what we were after, mission (almost) accomplished :)
