Anyone know if this car still exists? Was an Oakland Roadster show winner in about 1964. Anyone have any pics of it then or now? Pat.

T-time, thanks for the info. I wasn't interested in the coupe. It used to show up in Chilliwack, BC for our run there when it was in Washington State. The car that interests me is the 14 T roadster. I know Tognotti was interested in finding it before his suicide. Supposedly it is back east somewhere. It must exist as it was too nice to crush. Hidden in a private collection I assume. Pat.
Was the car heavy metal flake turquoise, with quad headlights??? Seems to me I saw it a couple years ago at the now defunct car show in Salem Oregon. This car was campaigned/shown by a fella that also had some American Graffiti cars and or clones, and had some of the cast members there at the shows. If I am wrong forgive me, but I thought I saw it there. Tim
Barris did build the "Twister T". It did win the AMBR and it did have quad headlights, but it was a '26-'27 T, not a '14 style body.
The King T was owned by collecter in Seattle.He bought it shortly before MrT.passed away. He also owned the Coupe with the hemi,he was the one who restored it. I can't remember his name.It will come to me. He's friends with Gordon Apker,Glen Mounger,all the big $ car guys in Seattle. Owns a huge construction firm. ahhhh,I'll remember,been to his shop,sold him parts,Al works for him.... shit he owns Dusenburgs and Packards,bought a famous Buggatti... It's not Maccaw,Clark,....
I think it was Tognotti's T that Mattel used for one of their initial Hot Wheels cars. I've got one that is Spectra-flame blue. For sure, a VERY DISTANT second to owning the actual car! hahahaha

I know this is an old thread, but I was watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions on Speed tonight and Tognotti's T came across the auction block. This amazing piece of hot rod history, in pristine condition, sold for all of $78,000. I was absolutely shocked. Millions of forty-something boys knew this car as the Hot Heap, and it was quite the golden boy on the show circuit in the '60s. The price was, in my estimation, an absolute steal. This car will always be a favorite of mine, and in an auction where billet-laden modern customs were selling for over a quarter million dollars, a mystifying development for sure.
I always liked the car, and still have the AMT kit that I never finished from back in the 1960's. Thing that always bugged me was the fact that it was called a 1914 when in fact it has a 1915 body with '14 rear fenders. Only car I know that was dated by the rear fenders.
Saw it at the GNRS - 2009. It was in the hall with the other past AMBR winners. Cool that it has survived so long......

One more question, I have a full (crusty) set of the fake 3 bar spinners that is wearing 2 of in these pictures, I was wondering who made them and if they are rare at all...
