i think it sits a bit too low for a "right" 40's look but its pretty nice! maybe i can stretch my "custom" search even farther into the 30's! can anyone photoshop that sucker a couple inches higher?? Zach

The car looks real nice. I bet there will be a bunch of pics of it once everyone starts posting their show pics.

Good Question,
I've spent all morning on the HAMB trying to find more pictures..... I love westguard style kustoms and this '38 just blew my mind. The sled has a lot of attitude sitting there beside the Cole built '36. I need to know more and see more pictures. Happy Trails, Mick

Ryan, I met the wife of the owner, she was with Susan Foster. Cole did some work on that car, you might ask him about.

We talked about you wanting to do a car like this... It's a beautiful car and I thought about you when I saw the pic... I honestly can't imagine you building it a whole lot differently... So does that bother you at all? Would you still build it? The overriding question is how do you build a car that someone else has built just about perfectly, and make it your own? (Hirohata, Matranga, Calori, etc...) Or do you just build something else and dig on the existing car from afar? It's easier to do with a car that was built a long time ago because you can say it 'inspired' you, but it's harder with a modern build... |

Ryan,
What about doing your coupe like that? I think it would look great! I've thought many times about redoing mine in the late 40's style. Airbag the back, and add skirts. Then if you wanted to go back to Hot Rod, just pull the skirts, and pump up the bags.
