So a good pal of mine collects shift knobs. Well, I guess he calls them "shift knobs," but really they are small sculptures that just happen to be threaded on the bottom in most cases. WOW Ryan! Thanks for the feature. Thought you guys might enjoy a couple of the beginning photos. This is after a couple days of whacking away with a knife, on a "chunk", ( I couldnt bring myself to say "billet"), of 7075 Aluminum Alloy.

Seriously amazing craftsmanship. I can't even carve a damn pumpkin (but I bet yours are pretty freakin' cool).
What tools do you use to carve with?

Man, this little guy has ill-intent. He's got personality. If he sprang to life, I'd get the hell outta there. I really like the arched eyebrow, the shape of the individual teeth, and of course the "buns" (they're funny and they add to the little guy's evil-imp look.)
