  3. 1946, Milford Michigan. This Ford plant built carberators for many years, my aunt worked there until the mid 50s when the carb plant relocated. The plant was Kelsey-Hayes for many years after that. It is now gone.

Thanks for clarifying the tail lights. I'll try and get in touch with Vinny and mention it. I certainly can't take any credit for Vinny's FlickR posts. As a matter of fact, he has SO much more over there on his photo-streams, and HAMBers, I'm sure, would enjoy looking that material up tremendously. I was so excited by the quality of his stuff, I just had to share the FlickR material on this thread. He's such an obvious car guy, I wanted to spread the word of his contributions to the 'net community.

Hey, we all quote from Shorpy, FlickR, Wikipedia, AACA, Hemmings and many other sources. I feel HAMB members have been pretty good about crediting sources and providing links for more info/further investigation -- especially as this thread has gone on, and matured. It's only courteous. Fer real, I like to think that the HAMB and other great sites simply complement one another by spreading material to sites of special interest. If not, some would miss some GREAT material! Hell, WHOEVER THOUGHT that history could be so much fun?:p

HUGE THANKS, again, to Dog for starting this popular, informative, interactive AND entertaining thread on Ryan's board!:D

'58 Vanwall, believe. Moss most often was seen in the #26 car so I suspect this is Tony Brooks after the Italian GP win. Or it might be Stuart Lewis-Evans at another event. Oil and dirt covered faces make it hard to tell. This was near the end of the line for Vanwall.

Because I beat you to the punch by almost 9 hours (9:10 AM) calling you out and quoting your entire response before you edited in an apology (Last edited by Randomrodder; Yesterday at 05:54 PM. Reason: Apology). Stop being a douche and learn to count already. That's your second straight screw up post in this thread.

We have done a post with much info along with many more River Rouge photos today on The Old Motor. Can any of you help us with more information on these FOMOCO tour buses?

  19. The note is wrong....that is a 1929 or so Buick front bumper.

On the contrary, I think your illustrations show that the original note is correct. The Buick bumper ends are curved more severely but the Chrysler bumper looks correct.
