I remember that Don Juan II car from when I was a little kid. Is that taken at Epping? Thanks for the memories.

Wow, that thing is an animal! Looks like it's still maybe running a tad rich, at least at idle. I bet you can just about see the gas needle move when you nail that thing.:D That's an awesome ride.

  5. I know Jim, his shop in Elma, NY built my engine and I had the opportunity to buy this '33. This was a real nice car. You'll be real happy with it.

Holden bodied 1936 roadster ute - again very different from the 1933-35 modesl. 1936 Holden bodied open Willys have integrated windshield posts rather than the separate posts of earlier models....

  18. Holy LADDER BARS on the brown '33 above! The red '33 below it has a killer stance with the Cragars and its rear tires poking through the fenders.

Pics of the Willys that my Dad and I run. It's a 1934 coupe. When we found the car, it was a rolling shell that John Foust had done the chop and bodywork on, as well as built the 2X3 rails that were under the car. Cage, suspension, and a bunch of other stuff was done by a chassis shop in NY. Has gone a best of 8.85@152 so far with a blown bigblock Chev on gas. There might be a *little* left in it, but we're more than happy with it so far.

We normally do booked-in "match races" with Ken Kull and his "Red Baron II" Willys pickup. Ken always gets the better of us as his '33 pickup runs much deeper into the 8s, but that's OK. One of these days, we're gonna clobber him. We owe a big thanx to Ken, as our Willys wouldn't be running as good as it does if Ken hadn't been willing to help us get the engine tuned and the chassis dialed in. And a thanx is due to John Foust, who executed a very aggressive and flat-out GORGEOUS wedge-chop on the '34 coupe that we essentially got from him. Take note of the position of the upper door-hinges. When they get dropped down into the beltline of a Willys, you KNOW that the chop is gonna be kick-ass!

Well, it's been pretty slim pickin's on the internet for a while. It's getting harder and harder to find stuff that hasn't already been posted or used elsewhere. Anyway, here's a few recent findings...
